I love the Wharncliffe blade, so when I saw this design and the name "Holliday", I knew I had to have it. It's like this knife was saying to me; "I'll Be Your Huckleberry". The design of this knife is exquisite, and the 'flipper' action is smooth as butter. I have never had a flipper that is so easy to activate with minimal finger action. The lock-up is tight...as it should be, and the liner-lock release is, again, smooth as butter. With practice, one can release it one-handed without a self-sacrifice of flesh & blood. Seriously though, this knife is one of the best folders I've ever owned. The Snakewood scales are awesome, and the 'Finch' medallion is very attractive. I was able to pick my knife up at "Traditionalpocketknives.com"...who was the only ones that had it in stock at the time I ordered. This Holliday Finch is my new EDC. I'll be carrying it in a leather sheath to help protect it from 'stuff' in my pocket. If you're looking for a terrific EDC, I highly recommend this Finch folder. You won't regret it. I may even pick up the smooth white bone one if/when they are available again.
Great knife. Love it. Waiting for the bone version to become available. I'll definitely buy a 2nd one.
Perfectly nails the “modern retro” aesthetic. Comfortable, balanced, and sharp out of the box. Action is flawless too. If there’s any minor nitpick, it’s that mine came with a touch of filler used on the clip-side scale where the edge meets the bolster. You have to look to see it, and it was finished well. I figure this is to be expected with natural materials. This did not stop me from immediately ordering the micarta version from an authorized dealer, nor from hunting down the currently hard-to-find ox bone version. Highly recommended.
