This is the perfect edc knife. The size and shape are great on a day to day basis and I would describe it as big enough to handle what you need but small enough to be comfortable in your pocket. The knife has that old school look and feel but with modern features. I love the flipper tab and the nice solid pocket clip. The blade shape is also very cool. 10/10
I love this knife! It is smooth and snappy and the quality is just exceptional. I love how easy and the flipper is and the liner lock is the best —it’s wide and easy to release. The 1929 fits nice in my smart hands, it is similar in the mechanisms to the Holliday (also great) but is smaller and stouter. I can’t wait for the future Finch knives. I would pay more if it was made in USA, which I wish it was, but at least it is designed and backed by great company in the USA.
This knife is such a tasteful liaison between the feeling of a classy gentleman’s knife, and a tough working class knife. The handle kinda looks like a popsicle stick and I love that you can stand it up on a table for shameless Instagram pictures. The blade shape makes me think of a beaver tail personally. It’s such a unique shape overall and it really does stand out in a good way.
It’s small enough to disappear comfortably in a pocket, and has just enough handle to get a pretty comfortable grip no matter what I’m doing. The action is among the smoothest in my considerably sized collection. And it’s sharp!
The packaging was superb and just as tasteful as the knife itself! Really my only “complaint” (more of a suggestion) is that I wish I had some simulated pearl scales to match my little pocket revolver when I want.
In summary this knife is priced EXTREMELY well for the quality, and is worth every penny in my opinion.
I have many quality slip joints and flippers in my collection of blades from the top names in the knife world. I think the Finch Holliday is unigue among them….I like carrying it for its classy asthetics and it functions as a superb cutting tool. The overall ergos and blade length are perfect, not too small and not too big. The weight is just right, not heavy but not flimsy. Try one, your going to like it.
